adjectifs de supériorité de plus de trois syllabes : more + adj. + than

EXEPTIONS:

• Adj finissant par /consomne/-y = adj. -ier
• adj finissant par consomne/voyelle/consomne = adj avec dernière lettre doublée

adjectifs d'inferiorite: less + adj + than OU not as+ adj + as

adjectifs d'égalité: as+ adj + as

EXEPTIONS POUR TOUS LES ADJ

1. bad = worse au comparatif
2. good = better au comparatif
3. far= farther/further au comparatif

supériorité c'est là que c'est plus compliqué !!!

si l'adj. se terine par un -y = -ier (pretty = prettier)

si l'adj se termine par consonne/voyelle/consonne on double le consonne fat = fatter / thin = thinner / slim = slimmer/big = bigger)

exceptions pour le comparatif de supériorité

bad = worse

far = farther / ou further selon le sens
